Time to get back on track!

Treehouse Transformation Challenge!

This was an amazing summer! Sadly, it is coming to an end. Vacations are winding down, kids are going back to school, and it’s time to get back to our normal routines. Do you have a plan to get you back on track with your diet and training before we get deep into the holiday season? If you’re not sure how to get there, we can help! We have had amazing results in our past weight loss challenges and inspired many to continue their journey with a healthy lifestyle.

So what is the deal with the Transformation Challenge? How do we determine success? The most accurate way is by weight loss percentage lost during the competition. Building muscle — which weighs more than fat — while losing body fat is the healthiest way to lose weight, so we want to encourage participants to combine a balanced diet with exercise. For accurate results, try to weigh in at the same time of day every wee and at the end of the challenge. This will reduce the margin of error.

How does it work? We will break this challenge up into teams. This will help participants stay accountable and inevitably succeed. Throughout the challenge, teams will be given team challenges, extra workouts, and constant information to keep them on track. There will be weekly weigh-ins and a beginning and end of challenge.

For those looking for more in-depth nutrition advice, measurements and one-on-one work, shoot Tara an email tara@treehouseathletics.com.

This challenge will be 6 weeks long. Entry fee is $25 per participant.

Cash Prizes to top male and female.

Launch Date: September 18, 2017

First Weigh-in: Throughout the week of September 18th

End date: October 29, 2017

Last Weigh-in Date: October 30, 2017

 Looking ahead at the Treehouse

We have some exciting changes coming up at the Treehouse! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to provide you all with the best training experience possible.

What to look for:

Coach Dave is BACK!!!

Coach Dave’s 20 years of experience in training combines his in-depth knowledge of programming, strength training, and olympic weightlifting. You will see him teaching some classes, teaching weightlifting privates, sport specific training and running workshops. His passion for mastery of movement and getting the most out of your performance is what he loves most about training.

Look for Monthly Programming updates from Coach Dave. He will go into cycle descriptions, the why’s behind the cycle and how to get the most out of each cycle.

Also, you may have noticed some coaches shifting around to different classes. Coach Max passed his EMT Certification and has taken a position as an EMT. Don’t worry, you will still see Coach Max in classes and will still be working with all of you in helping you pressurize your canisters. He will just be shifting around to where he is available to coach. Also, Coach Carla has been offered a position in Virginia back in a Government role. You will see Coach Carla in some afternoon classes until she leaves us. We are sad to see Coach Carla leave us and will be hosting a going away party when we know her actual leave date. Coach Joe who was teaching our Sunday class, is currently at the Police Academy and will be off the schedule for the time-being. Please join us in congratulating them all on their exciting new adventures!

Fight Gone Bad

It’s that time of year again – Fight Gone Bad!! The Treehouse has been running Fight Gone Bad since it’s inception and we continue to see amazing results every time we run it. We have been working hard on our FGB prep to make sure everyone is ready to crush this workout.

What is Fight Gone Bad (FGB):

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate”, the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

3 Rounds – 1 Min. each station

  • Wall Ball (20#, 14#)
  • SDHP (75#,55#)
  • Box Jump (20″)
  • Push Press (75#, 55#)
  • Row (For Calories)
  • Rest

Saturday, September 16th
