May 5th Kick off to our next 30 Day Whole Health

 In Fuel & Recovery

Join Maria Davis and Debi Blaisdell on May 5th at 6:30pm in the Yoga Room for a little demonstration on Nutrition.  Did you know each month on Monday’s at 6:30 there is a meet up group hosted by Debi focusing on Whole Health, food, recovery, exercise and so much more.  The month of May we will be focusing on a 21 day sugar detox.  This has 3 levels to choose from beginner to advanced.  It is for anyone ready to kick the habit of sugar.  We will work as a group helping each other achieve individual goals.  This is to be used to improve your overall health and wellness plan.  If I have enough interest for people in a morning slot, I will host another time slot to accommodate them.  There is a fee for the 21day sugar detox of $80 cash or check made out to NSCF.  There will not be a fee to attend workshop on May 5th.

A word from Maria,

“I am thrilled to be part of the NSCF community.  It feels like family.  There are so many great things happening each and every day.  I was excited to attend the kick off meeting about Custom Fit Meals.  Their approach to healthy eating is a realistic one and will meet the needs of many of our members.

On Monday, May 5th, 2014 at 6:30PM, I would love the opportunity to piggy back on Custom Fit’s philosophy and share my training and passion with you.  I will provide you with easy cooking demonstration/techniques about healthy meals to supplement your fitness journey.  I/we will prepare and sample nutritious selections that support all of the hard work you are doing at NSCF.

Nutrition is a science and there is no one magic system or answer that works for everyone.  But there is a philosophy that can be adopted by you that will help you live your best life!  I hope to provide you with some insight, some cooking techniques, and some guidance to better your understanding of nutrition.  The goals are to empower you to make healthy changes/choices that you can sustain for the long haul.  It is not about good food or bad food but about the choices we make “usually or sometimes or rarely.”

I have been in the nutrition industry for 24 years feeding tens of thousands of students in an urban community.  I am very passionate about food and fitness and would love to share some of that passion with you.”
