Bring a Buddy Day at the Treehouse!

Attention Treehouse!  Saturday, April 15, 2017 is “BRING A BUDDY DAY!”  The Group 9am class will be open to you and friends/family.  NOTE: Friends do NOT need prior experience.  All movements will be doable for newbies/inexperienced yet challenging for you regulars.  Don’t worry, I won’t program 1000 wall balls again…at least not this weekend!

Research has shown that working out with a friend/co-worker/spouse is more enjoyable than to those who worked out alone.  The more fun you have during a workout, the more you will look forward to them!  This means you are going to be committed for the long term – and long term means better results.

Don’t be worried that your exercise buddy may be more fit than you- it can actually be a good thing. Research has shown that those who exercised with a person they perceived as more fit than them actually worked out harder and longer.  Gym buddies can be a great motivator!  When you have to wake up early to go to the gym or drag yourself there after a long day of work, it can be pretty easy to talk yourself out of going.  However, if you have a gym buddy appointment, you will be less likely to make excuses not to go.  And if you go to the gym consistently you will surely see gains and improvements – who doesn’t love a PR!

There are many benefits to working out with a buddy.  A great partner will help you achieve your fitness goals and you will have fun doing it.  Working out with a buddy can make joining a gym or new class far less intimidating.  If you know someone who has always wanted to try a new exercise routine or asks “I can’t believe you do that!,” this would be a great weekend to try something new and/or show your friends they can do it too!  All weights/movements can be scaled and modified – Saturday will be lots of fun!  If you have any questions about Bring a Buddy Day, please message me at [email protected]  See you Saturday!
